Christmas party at a golf simulator: group size, food and what belongs in the request
Room for 8 to 250 people, food from the venue's own kitchen to a catering partner, about CHF 35 to CHF 147 and up per person: what venues state for Christmas parties.

Yes, a golf simulator works for a Christmas party if the venue fits the group: two bays hold up to 8 people, the private room at Zurich Golf up to 30, the Swiss Golf Lounge names up to 50, Lifestyle Golf in Chur up to 250. Food comes, depending on the venue, from its own kitchen, from a catering partner or from the restaurant in the building. This post shows what the venues state, what the party costs per person and what belongs in the request.
Does a golf simulator work for a Christmas party?
A Christmas party has two jobs: it brings the team together, and there is something to eat. The simulator does the first part, the venue has to do the second. In the directory 53 of the 110 indoor venues mention company or team events in their entry, and 21 of them also name catering, aperitif, buffet or food (as of 2 October 2026). You play whatever the weather: RUFF writes that the event takes place in any weather, and Golf Range Mägenwil calls the facility usable all year.
The word Weihnachtsfeier (Christmas party) appears in the directory only in the entry of RUFF Bern. On the pages I read, RUFF and the Swiss Golf Lounge name it, and Golf Range Mägenwil speaks of the year-end party. So you enquire as you would for any company event and add that it is the Christmas party. The bill, the schedule and the group size for company events in general are in A company event at the golf simulator, this post covers what comes on top at year-end.
How many people fit?
A bay takes four people: the FUN4YOU Golf Lounge in Baden writes that the room is designed for up to 4 people (FAQ). At a party of 20 or 40 people usually not everybody plays at the same time. Either the groups take turns, or the venue has many bays, or the programme is not only golf. The table shows how much room the venues name for groups.
| Venue | Room for | What the venue states |
|---|---|---|
| Lifestyle Golf, Chur | up to 250 people | 5 simulators on 650 m², event menus and catering packages |
| Golf Range Mägenwil, Mägenwil | 8 to 80 people | whole facility bookable exclusively or in part |
| Swiss Golf Lounge, four locations | up to 50 people | catering as you wish |
| Bogey Club, Marin-Epagnier | up to 50 people | room can be closed to the public, with or without catering |
| Zurich Golf, Zurich | up to 30 people | private room with 2 simulators |
| Birdie Amigos, Basel | 15 to 25 people | two drinks and a bacon Gugelhopf cake or similar included |
| Indoorgolf Rotkreuz, Rotkreuz | up to 20 people | aperitifs and an introduction on request |
| Impact Golf, Collombey-Muraz | 5 to 15 people | packages with aperitif and food |
The details come from the pages of the Swiss Golf Lounge, Zurich Golf, Birdie Amigos, Impact Golf and Golf Range Mägenwil and from the entries in the directory. If an entry names no upper limit, ask for it before you fix the date. More on how groups spread over the bays is in Indoor golf in a group: people per bay.
What does the party cost per person?
The sums use example groups and the venues' figures of 2 October 2026. They are calculations, not quotes. Impact Golf writes «Dès», which means «from».
| Venue | Example group | What the venue states | Total | Per person |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Zurich Golf | 24 people, 3 hours | private room CHF 599, cleaning CHF 50, drinks flat rate CHF 10 per person, food on request without a price | CHF 889 | about CHF 37 |
| Birdie Amigos | 20 people | CHF 35 per person, two drinks and a bacon Gugelhopf cake or similar | CHF 700 | CHF 35 |
| Impact Golf | 12 people, 2 hours | Golf et apéro, aperitif and soft drinks, from CHF 75 per person | from CHF 900 | from CHF 75 |
| Impact Golf | 12 people, 4 hours | Golf & Tartare, aperitif and cold meal, from CHF 147 per person | from CHF 1'764 | from CHF 147 |
| Golf Range Mägenwil | 20 people | golf workshop with aperitif CHF 55 per person (CHF 30 without aperitif, CHF 70 with pizza or grill) | CHF 1'100 | CHF 55 |
At Zurich Golf you choose the drinks as a flat rate or by consumption and describe the food in the text field of the request. The price of the food therefore comes later. At Impact Golf and Golf Range Mägenwil the aperitif or the food is already in the price. At Golf Range Mägenwil the simulator is one of several building blocks, and the price list names the workshop with rental clubs and range balls (price list). What the same venues charge for an ordinary hour is on the page golf simulator prices.
Food and drink: who supplies what?
- Own catering. In the directory 22 of the 110 indoor venues list a bar, 16 a restaurant and 13 catering. Lifestyle Golf in Chur names event menus and catering packages, Golf Weid in Hauenstein offers a meal in the Prime Restaurant on request. More on that is in Indoor golf with a bar and food.
- Catering partners. Indoorgolf Rotkreuz names aperitif and sushi platters from two catering partners, and Golf Range Mägenwil organises catering, drinks, BBQ or aperitif on site on request.
- Packages from the venue. RUFF writes of food and drink packages depending on the location, Zurich Golf of a drinks flat rate, and Birdie Amigos includes two drinks.
- Bringing your own. At FUN4YOU in Baden you may not bring your own drinks and food, at studiogolf in Zurich food and drinks you bring are allowed in the lounge areas, according to its entry.
- Lead time. The only order deadline I found concerns food: according to its entry FUN4YOU takes aperitif and food orders up to 3 days before.
When the simulator comes to you
If the party is already booked in a restaurant or at the company, the simulator can come along. The Swiss Golf Lounge asks on its page whether you want to rent its mobile bays for an event at your place. As an example for a Christmas party it names, besides the mobile TrackMan bays, chipping and putting competitions, and for a company anniversary up to four mobile bays. The page names no prices for this, the Swiss Golf Lounge makes an offer on request. The entry of Swiss Golf Lounge Spreitenbach also names mobile TrackMan bays for events on site.
A programme in which not everyone plays golf
RUFF writes that beginners and experienced golfers can play together without trouble, and names fun games, team challenges and tournament formats with prize-giving on request. According to its entry, Lifestyle Golf in Chur offers live leaderboards, group lessons with a pro and gifts on request. At Birdie Amigos the group collects points with TrackMan games after an introduction. The scoring in a team is explained in Scramble, foursomes and four-ball explained, scoring and prizes are in Organising a golf tournament. For a club the same applies: John's Golf in Wiezikon near Sirnach names company, club and private events on the driving range with a taster course with the golf teacher and an aperitif afterwards, according to its entry.
What belongs in the request for a date
- Date, fallback date and time. RUFF writes that the preferred location, occasion, number of participants and preferred date are enough for the first step.
- Number of participants. The event form of RUFF asks for at least 4 people, and at Zurich Golf you give the expected number of participants.
- Level of the group. Zurich Golf asks about beginners, a mixed group or advanced players.
- Food and drink. Flat rate or by consumption, food in the text field, and what you may bring yourselves.
- Extra costs. Zurich Golf charges CHF 50 for cleaning per event, and its prices include VAT.
Of the pages I read, only Zurich Golf states a reply time: the reply comes within 12 hours. None of the pages I read names a fixed lead time for Christmas parties. Ask for the date before you send it round the team.
Where to enquire
Venues with group offers are on the golf simulator events page, the nearest one on the map, and the hourly prices are on golf simulator prices. In the directory 87 of the 110 indoor venues give details on group bookings (as of 2 October 2026). If it is a circle of friends rather than a team, a bachelor party at the golf simulator helps.
