Indoor golf in English, French or Italian: which venues name which language
For half of the indoor venues the listing names a language. The tables show English, French and Italian by canton and say what the entry is worth.
In the directory 52 of the 110 indoor venues name a language in their listing: 28 English, 23 French and 4 Italian (as of 2 October 2026). For the other 58 the field is empty, which does not mean that nobody there speaks the language. And the entry says less than you might expect: for 25 of the 52 listings our research notes record that it is derived from the website and is not an explicit statement about the staff. This post lists the venues by language and shows how to make sure before you book.
How many venues name which language?
The language field knows four entries. A venue can carry several: 19 name German and English, 11 French and English.

For comparison, the languages of the population: according to the Federal Statistical Office, the main language is German for 62.3 %, French for 22.8 % and Italian for 8.0 % (FSO, language landscape in Switzerland). English is the most widely used non-national language, and 6.7 % of the population aged 15 and over name it as their main language. Where does the entry come from, and what does it say?
The listings are built from the venues' own pages. For 25 of the 52 listings with a language, the notes state explicitly that the entry is derived from the website and not from an explicit statement about the languages of the staff. The language is tied to people in only a few cases: Fabrice Favre Golf Training Center names lessons in French and English, for Indoor Golf Gstaad the languages come from the pro's profile on the Golf Club Gstaad site, for Engadin Golf Center from the details on the pros.

28 venues name English. In the canton of Zurich it is 8 of the 9 venues with a language entry. At Golf Club Thunersee, simulator time comes only with a lesson from a pro and cannot be booked freely.

French: from Vaud to the Jura
23 venues name French. In French you search for "simulateur de golf". In Vaud it is 7 of 11 venues, in Valais 5 of 11. Geneva has two venues in the directory, and only DomaGolf has a language entry.

Italian: Ticino and the Engadin
Four venues name Italian. Ticino has five indoor venues in the directory, three of them with a language entry. Golf Center Mendrisio and CMFG Arena in Sigirino have none. In Italian you search for "simulatore di golf" or "golf indoor".

Open the venue's listing, look at the field with the languages and ask anyway, because the listings show the state of 2 October 2026.
