A single lesson of 50 minutes costs CHF 110 to 140 in Switzerland at the providers I compared. A half lesson of 25 minutes costs CHF 65 at four of them. Taken as a pair, a three or a four, it gets clearly cheaper per head, and a subscription saves about ten percent. Here are the numbers as they stand on the providers' own pages (retrieved on 2 October 2026).

What is in the price differs. At Golfpark Zürichsee the balls are included during the lesson. At Winterberg technical aids such as TrackMan and SAM PuttLab belong to the private lesson. The Migros Golf Academy requires you to bring your own equipment. At Winterberg and in Samedan there is also a half lesson of 25 minutes for CHF 65, and likewise at Migros and in Lenzerheide.

As a pair, a three or a four: the price per head

Taking a lesson together is the easiest way to save. The lesson stays the same, only the price is shared:

ProviderGroupPrice for the hourPer head
Golfschule Lenzerheide4 peopleCHF 160CHF 40
Golf Club Klosters3 peopleCHF 140about CHF 47
Golfpark Zürichsee, members4 peopleCHF 200CHF 50
Golfpark Zürichsee, guests4 peopleCHF 240CHF 60
Winterberg Golf & Academy3 peopleCHF 185about CHF 62

The price per head is under half that of a single lesson, at Lenzerheide a third. It pays off above all when you are at the same level. Anyone booking with a partner or a friend learns the same thing in the same time.

Subscription or single?

ProviderSubscriptionPer lesson

A subscription saves about ten percent at the three providers with a price. It pays off if you know for sure that you will take ten lessons, and not if you first want to find out whether golf suits you. For that there is the taster course.

Lessons at the simulator

At the simulator there are two models. In the first you book the bay and the coach together, as at the Engadin Golf Center in Samedan, where the simulator can be booked only with one of the PGA pros, 55 minutes for CHF 130 for one or two people or 25 minutes for CHF 65. The Golf Club Thunersee and Winterberg also offer the simulator only with a lesson: Thun names winter training with Trackman 4 as private or group lessons and no free simulator time, Winterberg no hourly rental without a lesson. In the second you book the bay alone and the pro as needed. The Fabrice Favre Golf Training Center in Chavannes-de-Bogis states the bay without a lesson: one hour CHF 50, two hours CHF 100, ten hours CHF 450. Besides that it offers individual, group, junior and putting lessons in French and English.

Winterberg Golf AcademyWinterberg ZHprivate lesson 55 minutes CHF 130, TrackMan included

The difference from a lesson on the driving range: at the simulator you see every shot as a number, and the pro shows you which of them mean something. How the numbers come about is explained in How a golf simulator measures the ball. Whether a subscription or the single hour pays off is compared in Simulator subscription or single hour.

Ten lessons as a worked example

Anyone who wants to learn for ten hours pays very differently depending on the route. At Klosters the 11-lesson pack costs CHF 1,100 for eleven lessons. As a guest at Golfpark Zürichsee the 10-lesson pack for one person costs CHF 1,260. At Lenzerheide the 10-lesson pack for four people costs CHF 1,600, which is CHF 400 per person, and the page names 1.5 bonus lessons on top. The biggest lever on the price is the group size, not the provider: the same provider charges CHF 1,200 for one person and CHF 1,600 for four at Lenzerheide.

What to check when booking

  • What is in the price? Balls during the lesson (Zürichsee), TrackMan and SAM PuttLab (Winterberg), equipment (at the Zürichsee taster course an extra CHF 15).
  • Do you need your own clubs? At Migros yes.
  • How long is the lesson? 25, 50 or 55 minutes, which changes the comparison.
  • How do you cancel? Winterberg charges booked sessions unless you cancel at least 24 hours ahead, and asks you to arrive ten minutes early.
  • Who shares the hour with you? The price per head falls with every person at the same level.
