Renting golf clubs in Switzerland: simulator, range and golf course, with prices

Rental clubs at the simulator, on the range and on the golf course: what the entries and tariff pages say, what they cost and where the rental is free.

Renting golf clubs in Switzerland: simulator, range and golf course, with prices — post image

Yes, you can rent golf clubs in Switzerland, and it costs anything from nothing to CHF 60. At the simulator 33 of 110 indoor venues state expressly that they have rental clubs, 10 of them for free and 4 for CHF 10 to 20. On the range it is 5 of 16 venues. At the three golf courses whose tariff I read, a rental set costs CHF 25 to 60. The figures come from the entries in the directory and from the tariff pages of the courses, read on 2 October 2026.

At the simulator: what the entries say

I searched the texts of all 110 indoor entries for rental equipment. In 33 it says expressly that the venue provides clubs. In 10 it says "free", in 3 the rental is included in the price, in 4 a price is given, and in the other 16 nothing is said about the price, for instance "available" or "at reception". Two venues say the opposite: in Sigirino (CMFG Arena) and in Aarburg (Golf Factory) you bring your own clubs. In the remaining 75 entries nothing is said, so you ask before booking. What else belongs in the first hour is in What to bring to your first simulator hour.

Examples: free, included, with a price

EZ-GolfSimSchaffhausenCHF 20 per booking

With the price the unit counts: Golf Corner and EZ-GolfSim charge the rental per booking, not per person. At RUFF Bern and Swiss Indoorgolf the entry gives only the amount, with no unit.

What belongs to the rental set

The entries rarely give details. At three venues the brand is named: Callaway at Millennium in Crissier, Wilson at Indoorgolf Ennetsee in Rotkreuz and Takomo at RUFF Luzern. In 9 of the 33 venues the balls are named in the entry next to the clubs, but that does not mean the same everywhere. At Golf Corner you play only with the RCT balls provided, at NextGolf the balls come from the ball machine, and at Sportcenter Schumacher clubs and balls are rented at the reception. At The Golf Room balls and tees are included, in the rental set of Dolder Golfclub three golf balls, tees, pitch mark repairer and Birdie-Book.

What an hour with rental clubs costs

The rental comes on top of the price of the bay. The bay costs per hour and not per person; at Golfschmiede the price covers up to four people. According to the entries that gives:

VenuePrice of the bayRental clubstogether
Golf Corner, BaselCHF 55 for 55 minutesCHF 15 per bookingCHF 70
EZ-GolfSim, SchaffhausenCHF 55 to 65 per hourCHF 20 per bookingCHF 75 to 85
Golf365, WilCHF 49 to 59 per hourfreeCHF 49 to 59
Golfschmiede, RheinfeldenCHF 50 per hourfreeCHF 50

With four people that is CHF 12.50 per person at Golfschmiede. At Golf Corner and EZ-GolfSim the rental stays a fixed sum per booking; with four you share it: CHF 3.75 per person at Golf Corner, CHF 5 at EZ-GolfSim. What an hour costs otherwise is on golf simulator prices.

Left-handers and children

In 10 of the 33 indoor venues with rental clubs the entry says that there are sets for left- and right-handers. In 3 it names children's or junior clubs: FUN4YOU in Baden, Indoor Golf Club Yverdon and Swing Easy in Étoy. At all the others you ask beforehand. What else to watch as a left-hander is in Golf as a left-hander, and what children need is in Golf for children in Switzerland.

On the driving range

In 5 of the 16 ranges in the directory the entry names rental clubs. How a range works and what a basket costs is in Driving ranges in Switzerland.

RangeRental clubs according to the entryBalls
Golf Range UsterfreeCHF 5 for 24 balls
Swiss Golf Bubikonborrowed free against IDCHF 5 per basket
Golf Limpachtal, Aetingenat receptionCHF 6 per basket, Toptracer included
Migros Golfpark Signal de Bougyon site20 balls CHF 3.50
Migros Golfpark Oberkirchin the pro shop20 balls CHF 3.50

A worked example for the first strokes without your own kit: in Uster 24 balls cost CHF 5 and the rental clubs are free. In Bougy-Villars 20 balls cost CHF 3.50, plus CHF 10 once for the ball card and CHF 5 for one rental club from the tariff of the Migros golf park, together CHF 18.50. The set for CHF 25 only pays off there when you try several clubs.

On the golf course: set or single club

On a course the rental is a fixed tariff item. Three courses give the price on their tariff page:

CourseRental setSingle club
Migros Golfpark Signal de BougyCHF 25 (18 holes)CHF 5
Golf Gonten, GontenbadCHF 25CHF 5
Dolder Golfclub ZürichCHF 60 (18 holes), CHF 40 (9 holes), with three golf balls, tees, pitch mark repairer and Birdie-Booknot stated

If you need only two clubs, say a 7-iron and the putter, you pay CHF 10 as single rental at Bougy and Gonten instead of CHF 25 for the set. From five clubs on the set is cheaper at these two courses, because 5 times CHF 5 is already CHF 25.

Three more Migros golf parks, Oberkirch, Moossee and Waldkirch, write that golf clubs can be rented in the pro shop, with no price on the tariff page. There you ask. The green fee comes on top of the rental, and what it costs is in What a green fee costs in Switzerland, and whether you may play without a Platzreife is in Golf without Platzreife and without membership.

What this means for you

For a first try you do not need your own clubs if the entry names rental clubs. The entries give the rental at the simulator as free, included in the price or CHF 10 to 20, and the courses give CHF 25 to 60 for a set. With rental clubs you measure the distances of the rental set and not your own. Anyone who wants to build a table of their own, as Club distances in golf describes it, needs clubs of their own for that, and the list for them is in Golf beginner set: which clubs you really need. Ask three questions before booking: Are there rental clubs? What do they cost, per booking or per person? Are there any for left-handers or for children?

The figures count entries, not venues: where nothing is stated there may still be rental clubs, and prices change. I read the entries and the tariff pages on 2 October 2026 and did not test any venue.

Which venue is near you is shown by the golf simulator near me page, the map lists all venues by canton, and for the first visit golf simulator for beginners is the way in.
